About Me

My photo
I'm a work in progress. I'm a mom to two, soon to be three, awesome kids that have taught me things I didn't know I needed to learn. I'm married to a kind and handsome man that I genuinely love to be with. I like to be around interesting people and enjoy learning from others. I'm quirky, energetic, have a glass that's usually half full (of wine) and am spontaneous when it fits into my plans. My life is much slower than it once was and even though I sometimes miss the old days, I never take these new days for granted. So, I've given up alot of things in order to give more of myself to my family ... and they better appreciate it. I mean, I expect nothing in return for my selfless love.

Starting my days

Lately I've been fixing myself a new breakfast:
  • Plain Yogurt
  • Blueberries
  • Ground Chia Seeds
  • Raw Organic Oats
  • Sunflower Butter
I don't really enjoy breakfast all that much so I need something that is easy yet healthful. You could replace the chia seeds with flax and the sunbutter with natural peanut butter if you wanted to. Not everyone wants to shop at specialty stores, but since I work in one it's convenient for me.

I have also taken up working out in the morning. Whether it be walking on the treadmill (now that I'm five months pregnant, the running thing is almost null and void), taking Mazie on a bike ride or pushing her in the stroller ... I do something.

It's amazing how simple things like a nutrient-packed breakfast and a little exercise makes the entire day a little brighter.

Finding joy in the little things ...
